The Pound Institute offers a Roscoe Pound Summer Fellowship for eligible law students. The Fellowship is a paid 8-week internship in Washington, D.C. where a student will conduct research on topics relating to the civil justice system, will have practical experience in plaintiffs’ law, and will travel to the annual convention of the American Association for Justice in Boston (July 21-25, 2017). The Pound Fellowship provides a $5,000 stipend and is open to law school students of any level.
Roscoe Pound, by Trevor Goring
The Fellowship seeks to honor the work of Roscoe Pound, Dean of Harvard Law School from 1916 to 1936 and one of America’s great legal thinkers, by providing an opportunity for law students to experience first-hand the important work of plaintiffs’ law, and the importance of an accessible civil justice system.
